About TOMSK POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
Established in 1896, Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) is a significant state scientific and educational centre of Russia. It has great experience in teaching international students and providing them with the infrastructure for successful studying. Language School (Institute for International Education and Language Communication of TPU) welcomes international students to take Russian language classes and immerse in Russian culture in multicultural environment. TPU is a state accredited centre for examination in TORFL (Test of Russian as Foreign Language) and has exceptional facilities including computer rooms with free Internet access, multi-media equipment, and study areas. All international students are provided with accommodation in International student’s Hostel. The University is located in a beautiful, cultured and friendly city of Tomsk, a Siberian town with dynamic youth atmosphere and a tale spirit of wooden architecture.

To take the course at the university you need to apply for a student visa. The student visa is valid for maximum 90 days. For long-term courses multi-entry student visa is issued for a period of your stay. To collect a visa from the Embassy you should submit there an invitation letter provided by the university. As this invitation letter is issued by the Federal Migration Service, it can take up to four weeks before we can collect the document. This is why the booking deadline for the courses is eight weeks.

Upon first arrival to Tomsk an international student gets a free pick-up service - an university representative meets students at the airport or railway station and brings them to the University campus.
