English Courses in Edinburgh, Scotland

As the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh boasts an amazing history and captivating architecture as well as more modern buildings, such as the innovative Scottish Parliament. Edinburgh is also the perfect base to enjoy more of Scotland, for example the Highlands, the Scottish Borders or maybe see the Loch Ness Monster!

Regent Edinburgh is in Queen Street, right in the centre of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town. We are 2 minutes walk from Princes Street, Edinburgh's main shopping street. We are also near to many places to eat so that students can go out and get some food and bring it back to our beautiful Common Room. We have fantastic views over the river to the hills of Fife.

Students are from all nationalities ranging from Spanish, Italian and Swiss to Korean, Angolan, Brazilian, Saudi Arabian, Turkish and Russian to name just a few!

Students are aged 16 and over and the average age is 28 throughout the year and 23 in the summer months.

In the school the Common Room has computers for students' use, a wireless network, newspapers delivered daily, vending machines with hot and cold drinks, a free water cooler, TV, study tables and a comfortable seating area.

There are 9 classrooms and our teachers are fully qualified with a passion for teaching.

The Student Study Centre has computers with interactive software; study books, DVDs and novels.

We are open on Sundays and a teacher will be available for support.

We offer a very busy and varied social programme which inludes all the major attractions of Edinburgh and Scotland including Edinburgh Castle, Loch Lomond, Loch Ness etc.

We also offer a more local daily programme which includes bowling, sport, cinema and museum/gallery trips. There are two pub nights a week to meet other international students.

There are activities throughout the week and at weekends.

Associate to a gorgeous city, this school is amazing, you will meet people from everywhere and learn a lot about culture; the scottish one, their culture and sometimes yours as well. I would recommand this school and this city if you're really looking for something special. Enjoy.

Without this school Edinbugh for me would not have been the same. As soon as I arrived and entered there to join them, the fresh air and the good ambient came to me and would persist on my own until the day I would leave the school. So it has been a really good experience with a good teaching and also nice teachers and pupils from everywhere in the world. I definetely would recommend Regent School if you wanted to have a good time and learn English as well. Xavi.
