About Meiji Academy

Meiji Academy is your Gateway to Japan!

We are not only a language school based in Fukuoka, but also an internship provider for the whole of Japan. We will help you get a customized internship placement  in an industry that fits your interests and goals. With our extensive network of over 350 partnering companies all over Japan, we can help you kick-start your career in Japan!

Our Japanese study program is tailor-made to your interests and we offer a vast variety of courses to help you study Japanese in the way that is most effective and fun for you. Our courses include a Standard course of 20 hours per week, an Intensive course with extra private classes, Courses in either Traditional or Pop Culture and our Japanese Business Course, that is an invaluable preparation, if you want to do an internship. We also offer Kanji classes to focus on Japanese writing and reading.

WHO ARE OUR STUDENTS?

So far we had students from more than 30 countries. Having a class with a good mixture of people from all regions around the globe will also encourage you to speak Japanese as the main language and help develop your language skills.

Most of our students are beginners or have only basic knowledge of the Japanese language, but we also offer classes for students with intermediate and advanced Japanese language skills.

    Facilities

    Our school is in Tenjin, the main shopping and nightlife district of Fukuoka. During our office hours (9am - 7pm) you can use our facilities for studying and relaxation alike. We can provide you with study materials, WiFi and free coffee and tea.

    If you have any questions or problems during your stay in Japan, you can always ask our friendly staff at the reception desk.

    LEISURE

    We offer an abundance of activities for you to join after your classes and in your free time!

    Join us for cooking parties, singing karaoke, eating Ramen at a Yatai or visiting an Izakaya (Japanese pub) in the evenings. We also organize day trips for surfing and standup paddle boarding, hiking nearby mountains, bicycle tours and visiting hot springs on the weekends.
