The best language school I have ever attended
The best language school I have ever attended. Hi everyone my name is Matthew (Mateusz) I’m from live in Zurich, I work in an international consulting company, and I speak fluently five languages (Polish, German, Russian, Dutch, English). I spontaneously decided to learn Italian and I found this school simply on the internet. 1. Preparation My aim was to go to Italy for three weeks and only study Italian. I am a language freak and this was my major target. I booked the standard course with additional private lessons three times a week. As you will notice the school has one of the best internet pages I have seen in Italy, and of course you should not judge the book by its cover, this time the old saying is wrong. Since I am a very demanding person I contacted the school, and Alessandra was patient, nice to clarify all of my questions. After a short email exchange I was sure that this is going to be a great choice, and in the end I was not wrong. 2. Teaching I had lessons with Irene. (Mio Dio) My Goodness, she was extremely good. I used to learn some Italian in Instituto di Culture a Vienna (in Vienna) and my case was specific due to some shortcomings and inconsistent knowledge of grammar, but Irene was keen and competent enough to spot all of my difficulties and design the lessons in such way that I did not wanted to leave the room. Her methods are of great mix, connecting innovative and common approaches. She feels their students, and from my experience with the teachers is one of the key aspects of being a teacher. The fresh knowledge was immediately concreted with exercises, games and fun. Great job! 3. Organization and activities Both ladies, Alessandra and Irene are simply angels in souls and the masters of organization. I live in Zurich and as all the stereotypes goes you do not expect that in other countries there can be sth as well organized (yes, you can judge me that I am a pedantic Swiss snob etc, but I am writing an honest review). Every moment of my stay with the school was thought through, and meticulously prepared. Alessandra provided me with exact coordinates how do I can get to the school with the local bus, and even when I experienced a cultural clash on the bus station she was so kind to pick me up and bring to the school in order to begin on time, which other school would care more? Irene, my language master, provided me with everything I need to develop my language skills and learn more about Italy. Not the Italy we know from the TV, but the true Italy seen by people who live there. On my request, there were topics covered which were of relevance for me and also due to my desire I was able to get piles of homework. An amazing language experience which until now I have not been able to find in Poland, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Alessandra and Irene organize additionally tandem meetings for people who would like to exchange their languages for Italian, offered by natives. Both ladies do care and invest more than a common language school. I am a person who can always find a loophole, but not in this case! There is nothing what I would improve. I enjoyed the time and my languages ego was fully satisfied. Hadn’t been for my job and short vacation have, I would go there every month. I can only recommend, and be thankful for such a good service. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Mateusz
