      L'Atelier 9
I've just come back from a four-week French course at Atelier 9 which I'd like to highly endorse here! I found the school by reading reviews on different language course websites and picked it based on that and the moderate cost. The school is small, very independent and doesn't feel as commercial as many others out there. Classes are small and the teachers are all young, entertaining and super friendly. It was an awesome place to make new friends and meet people from all over the world. The school offers 4 different levels (A1 to B2) and classes were well balanced. I liked the atmosphere, the school is basically a transformed apartment in a centrally located typical old Paris building, easy to reach by public transport. Not to forget, the school also arranged homestay accommodation for me with a lovely family - an experience not ot be missed! Hands down, Atelier 9, your 5 stars here are well deserved!

      L'Atelier 9
The school has very small classes, which facillitates individualized attention. The teacher Ann was great, very attentive to student ability levels and persoality. The school also provided interesting extracurricular activities designed to not only increase language comprehension, but to increase cultural knowledge.

I first studied French (at the age of 61) at L'ATELIER 9 in the fall of 2006 and returned multiple times over the next few years. I found the school to be good value with competent instruction; both welcoming and informal; most times with small class sizes compared to other school offerings. I have achieved my goal of being able to converse in and understand the French language while traveling yearly to France. If you are interested in learning to write in French, it will be necessary to do outside independent work. An added bonus is that I now have multiple acquaintance and friendships outside the U.S. that have thrived beyond my time at the school.
