About ISTITUTO VENEZIA – TRIESTE
Since 2005, the Italian language courses have been hosted in the former Closter of Santa Maria Maggiore, in the old town. Trieste is a charming town between mountain and sea, near the border with Slovenia. Trieste is visited every year by quality tourism and offers lots of attractions and cultural life. It is a great pleasure to sit on the terrace of a cafè, drinking a prosecco and talking Italian in front of the sea.

Mixed Nationalities: Europeans 60%, USA, Canada and Australia 30%, Japan 5%, others 5%
Average age is around 35.
Maximum number of students admitted in morning classes: 12
Art, cultural, and gastronomic activities are organised in the afternoon by the teachers. This is an example of what student can do during the month:
aperitif at the molo Audace guided tour of the town visit to the Miramare Castle excursion to the Rilke track and the the Giant Cave afternoon on the beach have something to eat in a characteristic "osmiza" on the Karst pizza with teachers excursions by boat to Duino and Muggia day trip to the Roman city Aquileia day trip to the Collio vineyards
Istituto Venezia can release an admission letter upon receiving the whole amount for the desired course; then it is up to the student to submit this document to the italian embassy or consulate in his/her country.
How to get there
This service can be booked with at least 2 weeks notice. Transfer can be arranged by Trieste airport "Ronchi dei Legionari".
