About INTERACTIVE ENGLISH

If you want to travel to Brighton & Hove, or are already here, and you want to study English Language in a warm friendly atmosphere and still get the highest quality tuition, then we think that Interactive English is for you. We are a small friendly school, owned by a teacher and run for the students.
Being a small school means that we can cater for your individual needs more easily than larger schools can. But, being small doesn’t mean that we aren’t as good as bigger schools; all of our teachers are qualified, and we use the highest quality course books and materials.
Our students are multinational, so you can usually find someone who speaks your language when you want to, but you can always find someone who doesn’t speak your language when you want to practise your English.
As well as General English courses, we also offer IELTS, CAE and FCE exam preparation courses.

Why Interactive English?

Interactive English Language School is a family run, British Council accredited school in the heart of Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom. Just 50 minutes away from London but based on the seaside, it makes a perfect location both for studies and holiday. Our two schools are located on the main bus route some 300 meters away from each other and very close to all local amenities. A 20 min walk will take you to the centre of Brighton and award winning beaches are just down the road. Our friendly English language school has about 150 students of all ages from 18 to 74, from over 30 different countries.

Our Team

All language teachers at Interactive English have a native-speaking ability of English and are specifically trained and qualified in the teaching of English as a foreign language.

    will need a visa to come here.

    Interactive English can issue
    documents to support applications for a Short-Term Study Visa (for up to 6
    months or for up to 11 months).

    How to get there

    Choosing an airport

    If you have a choice of arrival airports, please consider the cost and time involved in travelling from the airport to Brighton. For example, if it is a little more expensive to fly to Gatwick Airport than any of the other London airports, bear in mind that it is much cheaper and more convenient to travel from Gatwick to Brighton.

    Booking a Taxi Transfer

    We can book a taxi from the airport or station to take you directly to your accommodation on arrival and from your accommodation on your departure. This needs to be arranged before you depart your country, so contact us if you need this service.

    Transport from London to Brighton

    Trains from London to Brighton run from London Victoria and London Bridge stations. The journey time is normally 50 minutes. Please see the National Rail Enquiries website for fares, tickets and timetables.

    Coach services to Brighton run from Victoria Coach Station approximately once an hour, and from all of London’s international airports. Please see the National Express website for fares, tickets and timetables.

    Heathrow Airport

    There are trains from Heathrow to central London, but the easiest way to get to Brighton from Heathrow is by coach. Several companies including National Express, operate frequent and direct services to Brighton. The journey takes approximately 2 hours from Heathrow central bus station, depending on traffic.

    Gatwick Airport

    It is easy to get to Brighton from Gatwick airport by coach or train, and it is the closest airport to Brighton. The train takes approximately 35 minutes from the South terminal. For more information visit the National Rail website or call National Rail Enquiries on +44 (0)8457 48 49 50.
    National Express has a coach service to Brighton every half an hour, which takes 45 minutes. The bus station at Gatwick airport is by the South Terminal. Please see the National Express website for fares, tickets and timetables.

    Stansted Airport

    Train services between Stansted Airport and Brighton take approximately two and a half hours, with two changes at Liverpool Street and Victoria stations. There are no direct bus services between Stansted and Brighton, but you can take a bus or train to London and continue your journey to Brighton from there. Stansted Express offers a fast and convenient service between the airport and London Liverpool Street every 15 minutes with a journey time of 45 minutes.

    Luton Airport

    The best way to get to Brighton from Luton Airport is by train. First Capital Connect has a direct and regular service to Brighton which takes approximately 2 hours. Luton airport train station is a short bus ride from the airport. Buses are outside the terminal building at the main exit.
    There is no direct bus service to Brighton from Luton, but you may take a National Express Coach and transfer at Gatwick or Heathrow airports. The journey time is approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes. For more information about Luton, please see the official airport website.

    HOW TO GET HERE?

    Brighton & Hove is a small city and the school is located near the centre. Many of our students walk to the school from their accommodation, some cycle, others take a bus. There are four bus stops within 50 metres of the school, and buses from almost every part of the city stop at them. You can arrive at the school from most parts of the city in less than 30 minutes. There is a taxi rank opposite the school.
