EC NEW YORK ON CAMPUS AT OSWEGO English Courses in New York, USA
About EC NEW YORK ON CAMPUS AT OSWEGO
Experience life at a real U.S. university where you can enjoy the magnificent lakeside campus of Oswego’s 700 acre property. With almost 8,000 students at Oswego Campus, the university is well-established with numerous opportunities to experience higher education in the U.S.
WHO ARE OUR STUDENTS?
Our classes comprise a diverse range of 45 nationalities, so we guarantee that you’ll be leaving with friends from all over the world.
There are many reasons why EC at Oswego should be your first choice for an English language school. From the first day, you will have a student ID for Oswego University that allows you to enjoy all of the facilities on the campus. English lessons begin bi-monthly with classes available at all levels from beginner to advanced. The English courses are structured to provide regular assessment while allowing you to work at your individual pace. Accommodation is provided in the same student residences on campus in which American students reside and all of our students receive academic support and advice. Finally, we also offer a TOEFL waiver for students wanting to move into degree programmes after their language studies with us.
You will need an academic student visa (F-1) to study in the U.S.A. as a full-time student. The granting of the visa depends on your choice of programme as well as the length of it. You will need to enroll in a course of at least 24 lessons (18 hours) per week in order to qualify for this visa. This means that enrollment in our General English programme (20 lessons) does not meet the requirements for a visa. However, our Semi-Intensive (18 hours) and Intensive English (22.5 hours) programmes qualify for the F-1 visa. Upon acceptance in an EC English course, all students receive an I-20 form, which needs to accompany your application for a F-1 student visa at your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
