Cork English World is Cork's Premier International English school. It is accreditated by the Department of Education and is dedicated to the teaching of General, Exam & Business English and International Teacher Training. We can also offer internship placements in co-operation with a partner agency in Cork.

CEW courses are designed to provide your students with the language skills needed to communicate effectively, confidently and fluently in English. Our courses also provide your students with the skills and strategies necessary for learning English outside the classroom environment. With a maximum of 10 students in each IT enabled class, students will experience the highest quality and standards in the teaching environment. CEW prides itself in having a very hands-on approcah whereby students have the opportunity to liaise with a senior member of staff/school director at all times.

Academic Team

Majellia Sheehan BA, RELSA T.E.F.L, DELTA (Cambridge) is the Academic Manager and one of the Directors of Cork English World. She has been working in the ELT industry since 1990. Majellia has worked in France, Spain and in Ireland. Her ELT experience ranges from teaching General, Business and Exam English classes to Pre and Post Teacher Training courses. Majellia is a Cambridge and IELTS examiner. From time to time Majellia teaches classes at Cork English World ensuring to keep in touch with our students in the classroom. Majellia is a Cambridge and IELTS examiner.

Administration & Accommodation Team

Mireille Kingston MA M.I.A.T.I is Cork English World’s Financial Director. Mireille has been involved in accommodation & administration for over 10 years. Among her many duties, Mireille oversees the financial aspects of Cork English World. Talk to Mireille for information about paying your tuition and accommodation fees.

How to get there

Cork English World is located right in the centre of Cork city, next to the famous St. Finbarre’s Cathedral.

1. If you are flying into Cork Airport, you can either take a taxi directly to the city or you can take the No.226 bus (see
the main bus station at Parnell Place.

2. From Dublin Airport. If you are flying to Dublin, you have a few options for travelling to Cork. The most convenient way is to take the Aircoach (see their website at
