  1. TOEIC - English Examination

    TOEIC - English Examination

    Exams Guide

The TOEIC has long been the benchmark for students wishing to learn English for international business, educational and government requirements and helps students achieve their goals with greater ease.

For students who wish to learn a language other than their own, English has long been the language of choice.  By learning English as a second language, students can broaden their career opportunities, as well as their educational opportunities.  The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communications) has been used for more than 25 years to help students develop the speaking, listening, writing and reading skills required for success in an increasingly global society.

The TOEIC is designed to assess every aspect of a student's ability with the English language.  Originally, the test only measured listening and reading functions, but the increasing demand for fluent English speakers in all areas of government, industry and education has driven testing authorities to add two additional sections to the test assessment.  These two areas are speaking and writing and are designed to complement the original two areas.

Only through a comprehensive assessment of ability in these four areas can a student truly hope to go on to achieve a high-paying career.  This test allows them to do so in their choice of industry, attain a vital role in government in either their home nation or a foreign nation (especially an English-speaking nation) or attain the education they require for future success at a university or college of their choice.

    Listening and Reading

This area measures a student's ability to communicate using everyday terminology and phrasing, in order to help facilitate international communication on a variety of different levels. However, unlike other tests, this test is a paper-and-pencil test and cannot be completed online.

    Speaking and Writing

While listening and reading are vital constituent parts of global communication, speaking and reading are also vital requirements.  The TOEIC enables students to speak and write effectively in English, helping to ensure direct, viable communications across the borders of nations on a global, expanding basis.

    Specific Benefits

The TOEIC provides several specific benefits for those who wish to study abroad or attain a careen in a multilingual environment.  Speaking, listening, writing and reading enable students to effectively communicate through a variety of means and areas, including phone conversations, email, person-to-person communications and through participatory discussion, such as that found in the classroom.
