Members should take all the reviews posted on MyLanguageTravel as individual, and highly subjective, opinions. The opinions expressed in reviews are those of MyLanguageTravel members and not of MyLanguageTravel.
We do not endorse any of the opinions expressed by reviewers nor the management responses, nor are we affiliated with any establishment listed or reviewed on this web site. MyLanguageTravel reserves the right to remove a review or management response for any reason. All traveler reviews must follow MyLanguageTravel's guidelines.
We will not publish a review if it doesn't follow these guidelines:
Conflicts of interest - Your reviews should be unbiased and objective. If there's any hint of a conflict, please don't post the review. For example, owners shouldn't sing the praises of their own businesses or bash their competitors, and users shouldn't comment on their current or former employers.
Real-Review - You should use your real identity, name and picture. Only your first name and last initial (Carl L.) will appear on the site.
Second-hand experiences and hearsay - For example, you can't give a school a bad review because your best friend complained about his experience. Your reviews must be about your personal experiences, not someone else's.
Note: Hearsay is defined as unverified information heard or received from another.
Personal attacks - We can handle strong language, but there's no need for lewdness, hate speech and other displays of bigotry. Your friends probably know when you're being funny, but the millions of people who read reviews on MyLanguageTravel may not.
Relevance - Reviews aren't the place for rants about a business's employment practices, political ideologies, or other matters that don't address the core of the normal customer experience. No reviews about a trip that happened more than three years ago.
Plagiarism - Use your own words to tell us about your experience with a language school, but don't lift something from another website.
Written with standard e-mail etiquette - Please follow standard etiquette when writing your review. Do not use ALL CAPS, excessive typographic symbols, HTML tags, or slang.
Blank reviews - A review without text is like a fish without water. Don't be shy, use that smart noggin and write!
Non-commercial - No commercial e-mail addresses or contact information are allowed in reviews. No promotional material of any kind may be included. We reserve the right to reject any URL for any reason.
Written by a MyLanguageTravel member over the age of 16 - All reviewers must be over the age of 16.
But whether it's a positive review or a negative one, please keep in mind that your opinions are generally protected but posting false information can have legal ramifications.
Additionally, to combat "review spam" and ensure the trustworthiness of MyLanguageTravel ratings we automatically suppresses a very small number of reviews written by folks that aren't a part of our vibrant international community.
