Intense, challenging but very enjoyable! Having achieved a basic level of French, Corcelle helped me see what I need to do to become fluent, with many of the tools and supports to help me get there. As well as rigorous formal learning from true experts, the informal discussions during lunch and dinner were also a linguistic, cultural, historical and political (as well as a culinary) feast! Many thanks to Hubert and the team - I hope to return sometime. Highly recommended!

I spent a week at Corcelle in October. It was a positively memorable experience. The location is beautiful, a small village amidst the French countryside. The house, surrounded by a small garden, has a nice library with all the necessary equipment for audiovisual learning.
The individual teaching was very intensive and effective. The lessons lasted from morning till 9 pm with only a couple of breaks during the day. Even the lunchbreaks were occasions for learning. Luckily all the teachers were very professional, skilful, supportive and nice. In between and during the lessons there were lots of laughs, too, as counterweight to hard brainwork.
Breakfast and lunch, superbly made by the wife of the director of the school, was had in the house and for dinners we visited the cosy restaurants in the vicinity. We even made a couple of excursions to the cultural sights nearby.
I definitively recommend Corcelle to all serious learners of the French language!

Learning French at Corcelle was an experience worthy of time (I stayed for two weeks) and my effort (it is an intense learning opportunity). After completing an informal assessment of my ability in French, the knowledgeable staff expertly guided me through varied daily individual lessons and practice sessions developed specifically to address my needs. Break times and meals provided an excellent chance to practice what I had learned, as well as a chance to get to know the other attendees. My confidence and ability in French improved markedly over the duration of my stay. An added extra benefit was being surrounded by the beautiful French countryside. I recommended Corcelle highly and without reservation.

I had the pleasure of being one week at Corcelle, getting private intensive training in French. In fact, due to holidays, it was only me at Corcelle which made it very intensive indeed. Starting each day at 8.20 with breakfast and ending after diner with some homework, the days were long indeed. However, thanks to my teachers, the days past quickly due to their inspiration, motivation and sense of humor. I was treated with lunch and diner in nearby restaurants with good food and wine. Apart from the language, I've learned a lot about the French culture. I would absolutely recommend Corcelle to anybody who wants to learn the French language and culture while having a very pleasant stay in charolaise country.

I consider myself a veteran of Corcelle as I have attanded many times over the last eight years. In fact I even sent my wife and two children there! It is a fantastic place to learn the French language. Everything is taken care of, leaving you to concentrate on just one thing and that is the language.
The one to one teaching was perfect for me and I know my French listening, reading, writing and speaking skills have all improved. Perhaps most importantly at the end of each course I have attended, my confidence is high and I find myself thinking in French and not in English. When returning to work I have the confidence to engage my colleagues in French.
The setting in the Bourgogne countryside is breathtaking. The lunches cooked by Ling are to die for. On no account leave without tasting the canard au mangue!
Hubert has created a fantastic learning environment. All the teachers are of the highest quality, each having different strengths to challenge you. Whether you go for one or two, go prepared to give it your all and you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Corcelle.

A better experience and school in which to learn french could not be created. Corcelle was perfect in every respect for my needs, which were to improve my French by working hard in a civilized environment. Hubert and his team are expert linguists and know how to help one learn. The work was perfectly tailored to our needs, and the food and support was great. I recommend Corcelle very highly. I would unreservedly recommend Corcelle for those wanting immersion in the French language and culture. The instruction is excellent. There is some free time, but for the most part you are working--either in class (all are one on one) or at meals, or doing your homework. It is a total immersion in French--both the culture and the language.
The place itself is beautiful--in the middle of southern Burgundy countryside--in an old, but spacious and comfortable stone home. Meals are great--Hubert's wife cooks lunch (she could be a chef in a great restaurant) and dinners are with a teacher in a different charming restaurant (which also offers the opportunity to learn).
I attended for one week. But, I think 2 weeks would be perfect. While I was there, there were 2 other students. I saw their French progress markedly in the time I was there. I definitely felt that the program improved my spoken French as well. So much so, that, during my travels in France following Corcelle, I recieved several compliments from the French, who obviously did not confuse me as a native speaker, but who felt that I was doing a good job.
I would highly recommend that you think in advance of what you want to accomplish--Corcelle will definitely cater your experience to your objectives. They treat each student as an individual.
I hope to return.

Corcelle is the place to stay if you really want to learn french! The school has high quality teachers, who ensure that your potential is fully used throughout the course (One-to-one training). The countryside is lovely for early morning walks/running, and some cultural events are also on the program. I have been in Corcelle 3 times so far - and hope to go again soon!

Corcelle is a lovely tranquil place on the countryside with a dedicated experienced team of highly professional teachers. Daily program is from "petit-dejeuner" until after dinner, which is still a training item. If you look for the most intense high-speed language training on your job - this is it.

What a fabulous experience! I would gladly go back and repeat my two week session. The staff is extremely knowledgable, friendly and helpful. My one-to-one instruction was exactly as advertised and really catered to my needs. From one-on-one instruction to cultural visits to the Cluny Abbey, a wine cave, the Poilu Museum and a chateau, listening and speaking are truly emphasized at Corcelle. The instruction is rigorous, plentiful and well worth every penny.
