CIAO ITALIA is in the list of schools of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is enrolled in the Chamber of Commerce of Rome with the aim of promoting the “spread of the Italian culture abroad and the teaching of Italian language”. It is recognized by the german Bildungsurlaub (Hamburg and Frankfurt) and it is a center for preparation of the exams of Italian Certification CILS (University for Foreigners of Siena), CELI (University for Foreigners of Perugia) and IT (Third University of Rome).
CIAO ITALIA is member of ASILS, Association of Italian as a second language in Italy, of ELITE, European Federation of Associations for Teaching Mother Tongue to Foreign Students and of EDUITALIA association for the study in Italy
CIAO ITALIA is a center specialized in teaching Italian to foreigners. It is located in the historical centre of Rome. The limited size of the school ensures a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a fast and fun learning of the language. Our students are taken care of with much attention and kindness. CIAO ITALIA offers Italian language courses, private or in group, intensive or extensive. Also, Italian language courses for business, history of art courses, opera singing and amateur Italian cooking. You can find a detailed description of our courses on our website with also a price list.
Upon
request of the student, CIAO ITALIA issues a final certificate that specifies the
kind of course attended, dates of attending and reached level of Italian. Also, upon request we organize preparation
courses for the CILS (University for Foreigners of Siena), CELI (Univesity of Foreigners of Perugia) and IT (University Roma Tre) examinations.Click here for further information.
Our classes are composed of 2-12 students (average 8) of different ages and nationalities but with the same level of knowledge of the language. The average age is 26-35. The main countries of origin are: Canada, USA, UK, Spain, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Russia, Netherlands, Turkey.
We organize cultural activities: guided tours with an art historian, Italian movie screenings with presentation by one of our teachers, history lessons on Rome, reduced prices for museums, discounted tickets to the Opera, concerts, theaters. We also organize social activities : tours in the neighborhood, lunches with the teachers, parties at school, reductions for gyms (see the monthly programme on our website)

CIAO ITALIA offers an accommodation service to its students for all the length of the course. Our accommodations are always in the city, well connected to the school by public transportation or at walking distance.
