CLI Dante Alighieri – as school of Italian language – has the authorization of the Ministry of Education, the University and Research (MIUR) and is recognised internationally by the UNION LATINE of Paris and the ROTARY FOUNDATION of Evanston (USA).
CLI is accredited by the University of Ca’ Foscari, Venezia and University for Foreigners, Siena as a teacher probation centre for teachers of L2 Italian trained at the Universities.

Language School description
The Rome Language Centre of the
Dante Alighieri group was formed in 1981 and specialises in teaching Italian
language and culture to students from all over the world who want
learn Italian in Rome.
The original school was set up in Florence in 1966 – making it Italy's first
private language school specializing in this kind of instruction . It is open
all year-round. The Rome centre is housed in a stylish turn of the century
building, at 1 Piazza Bologna. It is within easy reach of the city centre and
all other areas, amply served by Underground Line B and many bus routes. The
classrooms are airy and bright, providing an excellent space for students to
engage in learning.

Client mix: typically, 60% are
students, 20% managers and professionals, followed by foreign diplomats and
their families, 10% , and members of religious orders, 10%. Nationality mix: in
the course of a year nationalities are typically – 40% European (including
Eastern Europe), 10% from the US, 10% from South America, 20% from Japan and the
remaining 20% from other Far East, Middle East and Arab countries.
Groups are limited to a maximum of
12 students.

Guided tours of
the city, Italian films shown at school, social evenings, plus activities
according to the season (cinema, theatre, disco, pool, walks and trips).
Rome is a city of history and art and so guided tours vary each time (Roman
Forum, Baroque Rome, Christian Rome, the Churches of Caravaggio, St Peter’s,
ancient Ostia).

CLI Dante Alighieri can issue certificates of enrolment on Italian language
courses which are valid for applications for Study Visas. CLI courses of
Italian language and culture for foreign students are run at different levels
according the Global Scale of European Portfolio.
Depending upon the mother tongue, personal aptitudes, dedication and associated
factors, a complete course may take between six months to two years.
